Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales & Business Development Consultant to accelerate growth for our digital marketing agency. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and closing deals with clients seeking our digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Web Design, etc.). This is a high-impact role ideal for a hunter mentality with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of digital marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Growth:
Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities through outbound outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking).
Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to expand the agency’s client base.
Identify and engage with key decision-makers (CMOs, Marketing Directors, Founders) to pitch agency services.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize profitability.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting in CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion:
Research and target industries with high potential for digital marketing needs.
Build relationships with complementary businesses (web developers, PR firms, SaaS companies) for referral partnerships.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads.
Stay updated on digital marketing trends to position the agency as a thought leader.
Client Relationship & Retention:
Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand client pain points and propose tailored solutions.
Collaborate with the marketing and delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 3+ years in sales, business development, or consulting (digital marketing agency experience preferred).
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas in a competitive market.
Strong understanding of digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email Marketing, etc.).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
Self-motivated with a hunter mentality—able to prospect and close deals independently.
Tech-savvy with experience using CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach automation.
Flexibility to adapt strategies based on market trends and client needs.
