- Design and develop 2D and 3D models for metal tanks, pressure vessels, steel structures, air compressors, and steam boilers using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Perform strength and stress calculations, including pressure and load analysis according to relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
- Ensure all designs comply with client specifications, safety standards, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Coordinate with production and quality departments to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Modify and update existing designs based on feedback or field performance.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
- Document technical data, design calculations, and engineering reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and engineering innovations.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.3–5 years of experience in mechanical design within the heavy fabrication or industrial manufacturing sector.Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).Good knowledge of design standards related to pressure vessels, piping, structural steel, and mechanical systems (ASME, EN, API).Experience in designing welded assemblies, sheet metal, and machined components.Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
