Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Planning:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
Oversee the procurement of goods, materials, and services required by various departments.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
Evaluate suppliers’ performance, and identify new suppliers to improve product quality and reduce costs.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet production and operational requirements.
Monitor stock levels and develop strategies to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Team Management:
Lead, guide, and develop the purchasing team to meet departmental goals.
Delegate tasks effectively and manage the team’s performance.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Track expenditures and assist in budgeting and cost forecasting.
Report to senior management on procurement activities, highlighting key performance indicators.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards in the procurement process.
Monitor and enforce safety and ethical standards for the purchasing process.
Required Skills and Experience:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years in purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Industry Experience: Preferably experience in industrial or export sectors (previous experience in manufacturing or export companies is highly desirable)
