Sanitary Network Engineer

  • Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for sanitary sewer collection and conveyance systems, including pipelines, lift stations, manholes, and other related infrastructure. This includes hydraulic modeling, capacity calculations, and material selection.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee the execution of sanitary network projects from inception to completion, including coordination with contractors, monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and resolving technical issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance and support during the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases of sanitary network projects.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant local, national, and international standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Develop and implement maintenance strategies for existing sanitary network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and minimize operational disruptions. Identify opportunities for system optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve operational issues, failures, and bottlenecks within the sanitary network system, developing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation. Maintain accurate records of system designs, installations, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural, environmental), project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and successful outcomes.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sanitary network technologies, materials, and best practices, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with a focus on water and wastewater systems. A Master's degree is a plus.[3-6] years of proven experience in the design, construction, and/or maintenance of sanitary network systems.Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, sanitary engineering practices, and relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, SewerGEMS, or similar).Familiarity with local and international sanitary engineering codes, standards, and regulations.Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contractor coordination.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is preferred.
