Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of the organization’s IT systems and hardware, including servers, network devices, and end-user devices.
- Manage network infrastructure, ensure high uptime, and resolve connectivity issues quickly.
- Maintain data security, ensure regular backups, and manage disaster recovery processes.
- Support Manufacturing Systems:
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to integrate and maintain production systems (e.g., ERP, MES, systems).
- Support and improve automated systems and software used in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure real-time data collection from production lines, maintain data accuracy, and troubleshoot issues affecting manufacturing operations.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and technicians.
- Delegate tasks and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Develop training programs for staff to improve technical skills related to manufacturing systems and general IT use.
- Software and System Integration:
- Coordinate with other departments to identify IT needs and implement software solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Implement system upgrades, patches, and optimizations for enterprise software, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and other key business applications.
- Vendor and Budget Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, review service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective purchases and technology investments.
- Compliance and Security:
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, cybersecurity standards).
- Monitor and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive manufacturing data.
- Perform regular audits of IT systems, access controls, and security measures.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Serve as the point of contact for major IT issues impacting manufacturing operations and business continuity.
- Provide on-call support during critical events, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Maintain an effective ticketing system for IT requests and track progress.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation:
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies that could benefit the organization and manufacturing processes (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics).
- Develop IT strategies to align with overall business objectives and improve manufacturing productivity and efficiency.
- Assess the impact of new technologies on existing systems and work to integrate innovations that drive business growth.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of manufacturing software (ERP, MES, SCADA) and automation systems.Experience with server and network management, database systems, and cloud technologies.Proficiency in IT security, data backup, and disaster recovery procedures.Certifications in IT management (e.g., ITIL, , CISSP) Preferred.Experience with business intelligence tools and data analytics in a manufacturing context.Knowledge of emerging technologies, including IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), AI, and automation.
