job Title: MEP Construction Manager - Power Plant / Industrial Projects
Location: Eastern Province
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly competent and experienced MEP Construction Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on large-scale power plant or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will lead MEP construction activities from planning to execution, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery across all MEP disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site MEP construction activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications, design documents, and contractual requirements.
- Plan and coordinate the execution of MEP works in line with overall project schedules and milestones.
- Interface with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to align technical solutions, material deliveries, and resource requirements.
- Monitor and control subcontractor performance, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety, and compliance with project deadlines.
- Review MEP design and shop drawings, coordinate with design consultants to resolve technical issues and implement value engineering where applicable.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, structural, instrumentation, etc.) to prevent clashes and ensure integrated execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress tracking, and quality audits.
- Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all MEP works.
- Prepare and review progress reports, project documentation, and look-ahead plans.
- Participate in progress meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Provide leadership to MEP engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on-site.
Skills
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's is a plus).
- 9-12 years of proven experience in MEP construction management for power plants, industrial facilities, or large infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, firefighting, electrical, instrumentation, and plumbing.
- Solid understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, IEC).
- Proficient in reviewing technical drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Revit MEP is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced environment.
