About The Role
You will responsible for a variety R2R tasks for the wider Dubai region including (i) month-end activities, (ii) ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with group standards and (iii) Monitoring KPI's and understanding deviations through variance analysis. You will also support juniors team members and be responsible for the driving continous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a finance business partner for local and market management
- Ensure bookkeeping is compliant with group accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure delivery of high-quality financial data and compliance with IFRS
- Ensure efficient period end closing process (including review month-end closing entries)
- Ensuring delivery of high quality service according to agreed KPIs and SLAs
- Perform review of monthly financial reports and ensure these are submitted in accordance to the group reporting deadlines
- Prepare monthly variance analysis and provide explanations for significant deviations
- Conduct continuous review of reports and identify opportunities of improvements (e.g. automation)
- Identify problems or unexpected events arising during work and resolve them
- Develop and coach team members and provide supervision on some of their activities
- Providing on-going feedback relating to the work performed to team managers
Key Requirements
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance
- Knowledge of local statutory requirements
- Good command of the English Language
- Good communication and analytical skills and ability to lead the team
- Experience with process documentation and finance process improvement will be an asset
- Advanced knowledge of reporting rules and requirements
- Good knowledge of accounting practices (especially IFRS)
