• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC / Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory.

Job Summary:

The Senior Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The role involves risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and providing expert advice on workplace safety in line with UAE regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:Safety Compliance & Regulations:

• Ensure adherence to UAE health and safety laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement safety programs in compliance with OSHAD, ADNOC, DM, and other regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with government and regulatory bodies for audits, inspections, and certifications.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Management:

• Conduct safety risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and incident investigations.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Ensure proper implementation of control measures for high-risk activities.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors on HSE best practices.
• Develop safety manuals, procedures, and guidelines to enhance workforce awareness.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety drills, and emergency response training.

Incident Management & Reporting:

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation of safety incidents and prepare reports for management review.
• Ensure timely reporting of safety performance indicators to senior management.

Site Inspections & Audits:

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify non-compliance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
• Oversee implementation of permit-to-work (PTW) systems for hazardous activities.

Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management:

• Develop and implement emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
• Coordinate with fire safety and first aid teams to ensure workplace preparedness.
• Participate in emergency drills and evaluate response effectiveness.
