Job Title: Painter

and functional spaces for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team at JDV - Joie De Vivre.

Job Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing paint on surfaces to

create a smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing result. Painters work in a variety of

environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a

keen eye for detail, a good understanding of different types of paints and finishes, and the ability

to work independently or as part of a team.

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled painter to join our team. The ideal candidate

will have a strong background in painting with the ability to handle various types of projects,

from intricate interior finishes to large-scale exterior work.

• Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and applying primers.

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces (walls, ceilings, woodwork,

exteriors, etc.).

• Ensure high-quality application of paint and finishes, ensuring smooth, durable results.

• Perform touch-ups and finishes, ensuring a flawless final product.

• Use a variety of painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.

• Work with clients and team members to ensure project completion on time and to client

specifications.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, both during and after projects.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Minimum 3 years of professional painting experience (residential/commercial).

• Strong knowledge of various painting techniques, tools, and materials.

• Proven ability to prepare and finish surfaces to the highest standards.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Ability to handle a variety of surfaces and finishes (e.g., drywall, wood, metal).

• Familiarity with safety practices and use of safety equipment.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.

• Reliable, responsible, and punctual.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with decorative finishes or specialized techniques (e.g., faux finishes, texture

coatings).

• Ability to work in both interior and exterior environments.

• Certification or training in painting-related fields.
