We have an  urgent requirement  Senior System Engineer for our client in Financial institution based at Abu Dhabi

Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

· Join cross functional teams and help design, build and maintain secure, redundant and highly available technological solutions that address the needs of the organization

· Manage the existing infrastructure of the organization

· Manage the existing network of the organization

· Actively monitor existing infrastructure and technological solutions of the organization

· Take ownership of systems and / or services as required

· Act as an escalation point providing 2nd and 3rd level support as required

· Provide mentorship and training to team members when required

· Create and maintain documentation for existing and new systems and / or services

· Contribute to the creation of policies, processes or procedures as required by management

Requirements

· Required:

o University degree in computer sciences / computer engineering or other related engineering discipline

o At least 5 years of experience working as a system administrator / system engineer preferably reaching a senior level

o Fluent English, both written and spoken

o Experience administrating SAN Storage solutions (DELL EMC or other)

o Experience installing, configuring and managing Windows and Linux based environments

o Experience setting up, deploying maintaining Active Directory environments

o Experience setting up and administrating Exchange mail servers

o Experience setting up and managing backup solutions (VEEAM, Acronis or other)

o Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare or other)

o Experience setting up and using monitoring systems and log management tools such as Zabbix or Prometheus (Grafana stack)

o Able to read and write scripts in Powershell, bash, python or other scripting languages

o Experience working with Microsoft 365

o Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure providers such as Microsoft, Amazon or others

· Desirable:

o Any relevant certifications

o Experience designing and managing networks and network devices such as switches (Cisco, HP, Fortigate or other), firewalls etc

o Experience working in a financial institution

o Experience working in a medium to large organization

o Experience in writing policies, processes or procedures

o Experience using automation / configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet, or other

o Any devops related experience

o Experience in creating documentation
