JOB DESCRIPTION



ASSET & EXPERIENCE:

  • Lead and manage daily hotel operations, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards that align with Kerten Hospitality's brand values.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to optimise stock levels and control costs effectively.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for equipment and facilities, ensuring functionality, safety compliance, and a pleasant guest experience.
  • Implement and uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the hotel, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance guest experiences, drive revenue growth, and maximise profitability.
  • Provide leadership and training to hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.



PEOPLE:

  • Develop and manage staff schedules, allocate responsibilities efficiently, and ensure adequate coverage to meet operational demands.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members, supporting their professional development and growth.
  • Address staff issues and conflicts promptly and professionally, seeking fair and effective resolutions.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.



COMMUNITY:

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favourable terms and fostering partnerships. Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, addressing their feedback and ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Engage with the local community through events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives, positioning the hotel as a valued member of the community.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favourable terms, manage contracts, and enhance partnerships.



GROWTH:

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovations, incorporating relevant strategies into hotel operations.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies, promotions, and pricing strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Collaborate with the F&B team and chefs to develop new menu items and culinary experiences aligned with guest preferences and business goals.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics, analyse data, and adjust strategies to achieve revenue targets and profitability.



EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a managerial role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards in the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in English is required, Arabic language skills are advantageous.
  • Experience with hotel management software and operational systems is desirable.
