Regional VP of Sales, MEA, SaaS/Tech

Purpose of Role:


The Regional VP Sales – MEA will be responsible for driving new business sales, key account acquisition and expansion of existing clients to ensure achievement of ARR targets.

We are looking for a candidate who has established experience in software as a service sales and track record of regularly hitting and exceeding sales targets.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • To build and execute the go to market strategy for Restrata’s SaaS solution to grow in the MEA region. 
  • Develop an aggressive sales action plan for new client acquisition and current client expansion to achieve annual sales targets.
  • In the first year, acting as an individual contributor, personally own and lead sales opportunities.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to ensure steady and consistent growth across all regions. 
  • Develop relationships at Senior Executive level with key clients / prospects to acquire a comprehensive understanding of Clients business strategy, needs, requests and demands to feedback to Restrata and facilitate business development to be able to close new business sales in shortest possible timeframes.
  • Develop a clear analysis of the competitive landscape and develop a direct sales plan for rapid growth leveraging any existing relationships and aggressively taking market share.
  • Develop and build out the channel and partnership model within the region.
  • Provide clear visibility over pipeline, coverage, and forecast.
  • Provide market specific feedback to the Product Team to make enhancements tailored to the various parts of the Eastern Hemisphere market.
  • Work with the Marketing team on tailoring marketing campaigns for the MEA region.
  • Gather regional specific market information that will assist management in future investment decisions regarding expanding the regional footprint.


Key Accounts


  • Act as Global Account Manager for several accounts with Regional HQs and coordinate activity across the sales and marketing team in relation to these accounts. 
  • Identify possible key global accounts and focus on developing these accounts so that by 2024, there are 1 or 2 accounts that can have a demonstrable global expansion potential.


Target


  • Individual target of $1.5M Annual recurring revenue (ARR) in year 1


Requirements:


  • SaaS/Tech Background - you must have proven experience working in the technology/software space, ideally with some experience working in the SaaS/Cloud environment.
  • You are a high performing SaaS sales professional, with experience of selling enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience selling to the Energy industry.
  • Experience in selling to companies ranging from mid-size to large enterprises.
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Good strategic thinker with strong planning and organization skills who has the experience to develop solutions by adopting a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to research and successfully gather all the required / relevant information relating to a client, prospect and/or individual/contact to support each stage of the sales process.
  • Excellent numeric, written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to objectively assess own performance and implement self-development plans.
  • Experience in navigating complex accounts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of creating and executing an account planning-led model to identify, build and close cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Experience in energy and industrial sectors preferable 



About you:


The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:


  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, strong track record of driving revenue in a SaaS environment, with a keen sense of how to present sophisticated solutions-based propositions to market.
  • Excellent sales process skills and discipline around forecasting, prospecting, segmentation, and management metrics. 
  • Understanding of how to develop and execute a ‘go-to-market’ plan. 
  • Accustomed/comfortable with the demands, ambiguity, and flexibility that a growing business requires.
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferable. 
  • Experience in helping grow an early-stage company. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners at all levels across all regions. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
