Primary Purpose Of Job

Experience & Skills

  • 8 years’ experience of shipping operations within a shipping/Oil/Gas Company or should have sailed as a Senior Deck or Engineering Officer; or internal transfer from marine/shipping related activities (Example: QatarEnergy Loading and Storage)
  • Must have previous experience and understanding of ship operations including marine loading and discharging, in LNG or LPG operations.
  • Fresh National Graduates must complete the specially structured IDP plan prior to assuming the role of the Fleet Coordination Superintendent.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and must be a committed team player.
  • Proficient written and oral English language skills, able to prepare reports and give presentations.
  • Good working understanding of Shipping Commercial documents.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Standards as they relate to the Oil & Gas Industry and the Marine Environment. Experienced in Marine Incident Emergency Response desirable.


Education

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, e.g. Marine, navigational, Sciences or Business Administration.
  • 8 years’ experience of shipping operations within a shipping/Oil/Gas Company or should have sailed as a Senior Deck or Engineering Officer; or internal transfer from marine/shipping related activities (Example: QG Loading and Storage)
  • Must have previous experience and understanding of ship operations including marine loading and discharging, in LNG or LPG operations.
