MedNet Jordan is one of the leading managed care service organizations that caters to healthcare needs. We are currently seeking to hire System & Data Base Administrator – IT Department (on Hybrid working modules basis) with the following tasks and responsibilities:
Your Job
· Plan and ensure the day-to-day management of all IT Infrastructure operations of the assigned MedNet to ensure uninterrupted operations of MedNet, ensuring compliance with the corporate IT strategy
· Discuss user requirements and develop proposals for IT Infrastructure projects to ensure that they continually support the needs of MedNet operations
· Install, configure, and upgrade database software (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
· Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views
· Work closely with the application specialists’ team to make sure that all IT Infrastructure requirements are in place and support them to allow them to achieve their business goals
· Help the application specialists team to set up the right application architecture to achieve the most secure and highly available environment
· Lead the provision of end-to-end system administration services to MedNet to facilitate uninterrupted business operations
· Ensure that all business applications, networks, access control devices, and hardware are operated and maintained cost-effectively and meet the agreed level of service standards for user and business needs
· Liaise with all MedNet groups in the event of regional projects to ensure the effective execution of initiatives under quality and corporate guidelines
· Manage various IT hardware projects in all project stages to ensure project objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
· Oversee the implementation of effective and robust backup systems to safeguard and protect all IT operations while ensuring optimum mitigations of IT-related risks and the reliability/integrity of data
· Identify, select, evaluate, and manage hardware vendors and consultants as necessary to obtain a high-quality and cost-effective service
· Ensure the maintenance of IT hardware, software, and equipment to the required standards and users are provided with support to resolve operational problems timely and efficient
· Supervise the preparation of IT Infrastructure system reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet MedNet policies and standards, and department requirements
Your Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in IT
· 6 years overall IT experience in a similar role, preferably in the Gulf region
· Proven experience as a database administrator
· Proven experience as a Linux/Unix administrator
· Proven experience dealing with Nutanix platform
· Excellent understanding of Operating Systems technologies, specifically Microsoft Windows & Linux/Unix
· Excellent knowledge of IP, LAN, and WAN networking
· Good knowledge of IP telephony systems
· Comprehensive experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare & Hyper-V
· Good understanding of engineered systems, storage, and backup technologies
· Awareness of infrastructure best practices
