Good Neighbors (http://www.goodneighbors.org/) is an international humanitarian and

development NGO founded in the Republic of Korea in 1991. To make the world a place without

hunger, where people live together in harmony, GNI works with 200 communities in 48

countries, focusing on an inclusive community development approach and child protection.

Good Neighbors attained General consultative status with the United Nations Economic and

Social Council (UN ECOSOC) in 1996. In recognition of valuable efforts in providing universal

primary education globally, it was awarded the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Award by

the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions

(AICESIS) in 2007.

Position overview:

To support the successful execution of the "Socio-green-economy empowerment of refugees

and vulnerable Jordanians" project in partnership with Green Global Growth Institute GGGI by

facilitating community engagement, managing project data, coordinating activities, and

ensuring expansive project impact across targeted regions.

Their responsibilities span from the direct execution of activities per the work plan to the critical

task of collecting and verifying project data. Stationed in distinct geographical areas, their role is

pivotal in ensuring that the benefits of employability capacity building and green business

development are accessible and impactful across Jordan.

The Project Assistant, serving as a crucial link between the project and its beneficiaries, plays

an indispensable role in the day-to-day implementation of activities. her/his responsibilities

span from hands-on field involvement to office tasks. With fieldwork constituting 60% of their

role, they are expected to work closely with communities and national partners, while the

remaining 40% is dedicated to office-based tasks, primarily at the GN Jordan office in Amman.


Duties and Responsibilities


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

I.Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Organize and conduct skill development and entrepreneurship workshops focused on

green business practices, tailored for refugees and vulnerable Jordanians.

• Actively collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to

enhance project visibility and impact. Serve as the liaison to ensure all parties are

aligned with the project's goals and timelines.

II. Data Management and Reporting:

• Implement robust mechanisms for collecting, verifying, and analyzing data related to

project outputs and outcomes.

• Ensure data is collected ethically and accurately, reflecting the true impact of the

project.

• Compile comprehensive reports detailing progress against project goals, challenges

encountered, and strategic recommendations for future activities. These reports

should be prepared monthly and at the end of the project, providing critical insights

for stakeholders and donors.

• Utilize data to identify areas for improvement in project execution and outcomes.

Propose data-driven changes to project strategies and processes.

III. Program Execution:

• Directly execute project activities according to the work plan, ensuring each activity is

aligned with the overall project objectives and adheres to scheduled timelines.

• Manage all logistical aspects of the project, including material procurement, venue

booking, and scheduling. Ensure all logistical tasks support the effective delivery of

project activities.

• Monitor the quality of training sessions and other project activities. Regularly evaluate

the content and delivery of training to ensure they meet the learning objectives and

are adapted to the needs of the participants.

• Operate and maintain a responsive feedback mechanism that allows beneficiaries to

report issues or provide suggestions. Analyse feedback to enhance project

implementation and participant satisfaction.

IV. Capacity Building and Community Support:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and leaders to

foster an environment supportive of project goals.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to beneficiaries, helping them to apply learning

skills in practical settings, which could include setting up green businesses or

improving personal employment prospects.

V. Administrative Support:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities, including

participant attendance, facilitator notes, and financial expenditures related to the

project.

• Keep all project team members and stakeholders informed about project progress

and any issues that arise, ensuring transparent and effective communication across

the board.

• Perform any other tasks as requested by the direct supervisor. This may include

special projects, participation in additional training, or support with other ongoing

activities in targeted areas, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving project

needs


Competencies and Qualification

• A minimum of Four (4) years of hands-on experience in projects focused on providing

capacity-building initiatives to beneficiaries and directly engaging with them.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• Willingness and ability to conduct field visits and stakeholder meetings with experience

in fieldwork and ground-level data collection.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time-

management abilities, and detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation.


• Well-organized, and resourceful with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.

• A team player: flexible, quick thinking, and working well under pressure. creating a

supportive and conducive learning environment.

• Commitment to GN Jordan's vision, mission, values, and goals.

• Fluency in both English and Arabic
