TREASURY/FX DIRECTOR - VACANCY IN IRAQ

QiCard (Mixed Sector) is a company that works in electronic payments, banking cards and fintech fields In Iraq. The Company is looking to hire a qualified Treasury/FX Director who will oversee the company’s treasury & FX activities.

Job Title: Treasury / FX Director

Reporting to: CFO

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing treasury functions in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and the finance team.
• Developing treasury strategy, policies & procedures.
• Overseeing the implementation of new digital banking technologies and services to improve treasury functions and simplify organizational operations.
• Developing and maintaining a framework for foreign exchange management with the goal of minimizing the impact of foreign exchange risks.
• Working on enhancing the return on the group’s FX cash positions.
• Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Forecasting FX cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment.Ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet the requirements of international institutions such as Master cards, Visa…etc.
• Hedging Activities: Using hedging to mitigate the market and financial risks related to interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as currency risks on its foreign exchange positions.Maintaining banking relationships.
• Advising management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning.
• Maintaining a system of relevant internal control procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities.
• Developing root cause analysis and gap closure plans in collaboration with other department personnel when results are not as per expectations.
• Participating in cross-functional efforts within Finance to improve reporting, planning, and analysis capabilities.
• Preparing monthly inputs to monthly consolidated reporting packages.
• Helping to develop presentations & quality deliverables to Finance and Business leadership.

Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or any relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in treasury and FX management in the banking and fintech sectors, including not less than 3 years of extensive treasury management experience.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CTP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of FX treasury operations, bank services and technology.
• Experience in training and developing staff capacities.
• Excellent organizational, managerial and communication skills.
• Familiarity with relevant fintech tools and platforms used in treasury and FX management, such as TMS (Treasury Management Systems), FX trading platforms, and data analytics software.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are a must; knowledge of Arabic is a huge plus.

• Ability to travel and reside in Iraq-Baghdad.
