Role Description:

As a Revenue Analyst you'll be responsible in assisting the revenue department in generating reports (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) contribute in preparing the info and data needed for forecasting and all needed analysis for future decision making on business tactics, Promotions, packages, point of sale and business mix. Being able to assist the reservation department whenever needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Understand pricing strategy, monitor, and adjust rates for the future.
  • Understand properly forecasting and able to prepare for the upcoming 12 months. Have the ability to conduct daily forecast by Market segment for a period between 30 and 90 days.
  • Provide critical analysis of strategies, of the seasons, statistics and demand factors.
  • Conduct competitive and demand analysis.
  • Monitor competitors pricing and market trends in order to be with in and ahead of the market changes.
  • Maintain distribution channel data integrity, and work closely with the connectivity team.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to be able to develop and implement promotions and packages that work in line with our strategy.
  • Independently implement appropriate inventory distribution strategy; maintain accurate rates and inventory allotments in a timely manner to promote rate parity throughout all booking channels.
  • Develops near and long term top-line revenue forecasts upon request from the Revenue Director.
  • Ensure Commission codes are correctly setup and commissions sent and followed up on a weekly basis as a minimum Optimize opportunities and Reduce Risk.
  • Analyses independently and determines whether we are effectively marketing ourselves across OTA's.
  • Ensure that all statistics reports and any other related reports are accurate and consistent.
  • Check the reservations made the previous day.
  • Look over the arrivals in comparison with the availability.
  • Check Deposit not received for arrival next week.
  • Control no show and late cancellation charges.
  • Maintain all reservation standards.
  • Utilize technology and revenue management software to gather and analyse data and make recommendations to optimize revenue.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field and with at least 2-4 years of successful revenue management experience at a multi-property level is a must.
  • Experience in hotels reservations or revenue management, in a supervisory level, is a must.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and can fully comprehend the travel industry distribution landscape. This includes third party channels, central reservation systems, and property management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are imperative in order to communicate the ideas effectively in verbal and written presentations.
  • Ability to lead initiatives and show skills in follow up, multi-tasking, leadership and accountability.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office especially Excel and Power Point.
