An international trading company seeks to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for its Dubai office. The position involves managing all aspects of and dry bulk and liquid agriculture commodities with marine transports.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Handling and managing various, international supply chains for bulk and liquid agricultural commodities with marine transports.
- Operational interface to sellers/suppliers, buyers/customers, surveying companies, forwarders/agents and shipping companies
- Responsible for successful:
Contract execution/fulfillment from A - Z
Handling of Letter of Credits (opening, handling and negotiation of L/Cs)
Handling of potential claims (quality, quantity, insurance, disputes)
- Handling/execution of Charter-party execution (in conjunction with Chartering Manager) including checking of initial and final freight invoices including laytime calculations
- Supply chain risk management.
- Finding effective, compliant and transparent supply chain solutions in support of our trading activities
- Continuous intercompany exchange with internal stakeholders (traders, Chartering Manager and C-level)
- The Supply Chain Manager reports to the COO
Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years experience and relevant track record of working in an international commodity trading company (preferably agri products) with a.m. exposure
- Degree (BA/MA) or diploma in logistics or supply chain
- Fluent in English (written and oral)
- A professional with proactive, independent and enthusiastic working attitude. High degree of self-motivation, resilient, target oriented, reliable and prudent. Team player and problem solver
