We are seeking a
Senior UI/UX Designer with a passion for mobile gaming to join our creative team. You will play a key role in crafting intuitive, visually stunning, and engaging user experiences for our mobile games portfolio. Collaborating with creative, marketing and game artists, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead the UI/UX design process for our mobile games, driving best practices and innovative approaches to deliver exceptional player experiences
- Concept Development: Collaborate with our artists, and developers to understand game mechanics and translate them into user-centric designs
- Wireframes & Prototypes: Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas effectively
- Visual Design: Develop high-quality UI assets, including menus, icons, HUD elements, and transitions, ensuring consistency with the game's art direction
- User Research: Conduct usability testing, gather player feedback, and analyze user data to identify pain points and areas for improvement
- Optimization: Work closely with the development team to optimize designs as much as needed
- Collaboration: Serve as a mentor for junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to elevate the overall quality of the design team
- Trends & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends in mobile gaming, UI/UX design, and technology, integrating fresh ideas into the design process
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years focusing on mobile games
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and user-friendly UI/UX designs for mobile games
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
- Game Development Knowledge: Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine and understanding of the mobile game development pipeline
- Player-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of user behavior in mobile games and ability to design for engagement and retention
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and provide creative solutions while balancing user needs and business goals
- Agility: Adaptability to a fast-paced, iterative design environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on casual card mobile games
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for mobile interfaces
- Understanding of gamification principles and psychological drivers of player engagement
