Job Summary:
The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) across luxury residential projects. This role ensures adherence to international quality standards, with particular focus on high-end finishes, snagging, de-snagging, and overall quality control of materials and workmanship. The Senior QA/QC Engineer will coordinate all QA/QC activities, monitor project-specific quality plans, and ensure that all work complies with project specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- QMS Development & Implementation: Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with company policies, international standards (ISO 9001:2015), and project specifications. Regularly review and update the QMS to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Project Quality Plans: Develop and implement project-specific quality plans that address the unique needs of each luxury residential project, ensuring compliance with high-end finishing standards.
- Material Control & Compliance: Ensure all materials are inspected, tested, and approved in accordance with project specifications. Confirm that certificates of compliance and calibration records are provided upon delivery.
- Inspection & Testing: Coordinate and supervise all inspections, testing procedures, and quality audits, ensuring all activities adhere to the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and relevant method statements. Monitor testing equipment calibration and suitability.
- Snagging & De-Snagging: Lead snagging and de-snagging processes to identify, document, and address any defects in high-end finishes. Ensure all issues are rectified promptly before project handover.
- Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions: Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Field Observation Notices (FON), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) to address deviations from specifications. Ensure all corrective actions are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Documentation Control: Oversee the preparation, review, and management of key project QA/QC documentation, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, ITPs, and inspection reports. Ensure that all records are accurately maintained and comply with ISO 9001 standards.
- Liaison & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for QA/QC matters between the client, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. Ensure timely submission of material submittals, inspection requests, and other quality-related documentation to consultants for approval.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and support to team members and subcontractors, ensuring they understand and adhere to quality standards and procedures. Assist with the training of site personnel to ensure continuous adherence to quality best practices.
- Safety & Risk Management: Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards, and that proper risk assessments are performed before initiating any work. Monitor compliance with safety and environmental guidelines for materials and equipment used on-site.
