The Role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for making sure the Housekeeping Department runs smoothly and efficiently. This include making sure that all areas in the hotel are cleaned to the highest standards and elevate the guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cleaning schedules and quality control standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen, and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide training and development to housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Handle guest requests or complaints regarding cleanliness or room conditions promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a hotel housekeeping role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning products, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
