This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at KASOTC in Amman, Jordan. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, processing invoices, and managing budgets. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team
Key responsibilities & Qualifications
1. Accountant Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Managing all vendor invoices and transactions.
- Ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards, local regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely financial reporting.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets, providing detailed financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Work closely with the management team to provide insights on financial performance and recommend adjustments to meet financial targets.
- Assist in the development of accountant models and projections to support business planning and decision-making.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile bank and financial accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
- Manage relationships with vendors, clients, and other third parties regarding payments, invoices.
4. Inventory & Cost Management:
- Collaborate with the operations and procurement teams to manage inventory accounting.
- tracking of inventory movement, valuation, and profitability analysis.
- Analyze and improve gross margin performance through effective cost management.
5. Internal Controls & Audit Support.
6. Cash Flow Management.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to assist management in strategic decision-making and risk management.
7. System Implementation & Optimization:
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ensure the effective use of accounting software and ERP systems to improve financial accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- only Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2. Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles,
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software. (Odoo)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
4. Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail.
