The center utilizes play as a fundamental tool in sessions to create a safe and enjoyable environment where children feel comfortable to communicate and express themselves to overcome communication challenges and difficulties.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children with speech, language, and communication disorders. The role focuses on delivering individualized therapy sessions and collaborating with caregivers to ensure children’s developmental needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in speech and language therapy.
- Preferably a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of speech and language assessment tools and intervention techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate children in therapy sessions using play-based approaches.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- MTW Course is a plus.
Qualifications
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify challenges and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's case.
- Provide ongoing therapy sessions in a safe, playful, and engaging manner.
- Maintain accurate progress records, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to offer guidance and support for home-based reinforcement activities.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Keep up to date with the latest therapy methods, tools, and research.
