Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Modular Estimation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the cost estimation and budgeting of modular construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in modular construction methods, an analytical mindset, and the ability to deliver precise cost estimates that align with project requirements and budgets.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQs) for modular construction projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, and design engineers to ensure accurate cost planning and efficient project execution.
• Analyze and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, updating pricing information for materials, labor, and equipment regularly.
• Identify and mitigate cost risks, ensuring budgets remain within acceptable limits.
• Assist in preparing tender and proposal documents, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
• Track and report project costs, identifying variations and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Participate in value engineering processes to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends, modular construction innovations, and market rates for materials and services.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in cost estimation, preferably in modular construction.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of modular construction techniques, materials, and project workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with contract management, procurement practices, and relevant industry standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient practices in modular construction is an advantage.
