Job Description

• Mix Design Development:Design concrete mixes to meet project-specific requirements, considering strength, workability, durability, and environmental conditions.
  Optimize mix designs for cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  Conduct trial mixes and adjust proportions to achieve desired properties.
  
• Quality Assurance & Control:Establish and implement QA/QC procedures for concrete production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  Conduct routine inspections of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures) to ensure compliance with standards.
  Monitor the batching and mixing process to ensure accuracy and consistency in production.
  Oversee sampling and testing of concrete (e.g., slump test, compressive strength test) as per industry and project specifications.
  Maintain records of all testing and mix design data for future reference and audits.
  
• Material Testing:Perform laboratory tests on cement, aggregates, and admixtures to verify their suitability.
  Manage the calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment.
  Prepare and analyze test reports to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  
• Process Improvement:Analyze production processes and suggest improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of concrete production.
  Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
  
• Documentation & Reporting:Maintain detailed records of mix designs, material test reports, and QA/QC documentation.
  Prepare comprehensive reports for management on quality performance and non-conformances.
  Ensure compliance with local and international standards, such as ASTM, BS, or EN codes.
  
• Coordination & Communication:Work closely with the production team, project managers, and clients to understand and meet their concrete requirements.
  Provide technical support and training to staff on quality practices and mix design concepts.
