Job Description

Emirates Bio Farm is seeking a skilled and motivated Pipe Fitter cum Irrigation Supervisor to manage and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems on our agricultural farm. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in pipe fitting with hands-on experience in agricultural irrigation systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient distribution of water to crops, managing a small team, and overseeing the overall operation of irrigation and water management systems to support sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of piping systems, including water lines, pumps, and irrigation pipelines, ensuring proper water flow for farm irrigation.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of irrigation systems for optimal water distribution across the farm.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems, including issues such as leaks, clogged pipes, valve malfunctions, and pump failures.
• Supervise and train a team of technicians or laborers responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the irrigation systems.
• Ensure compliance with water conservation practices, sustainable irrigation techniques, and local agricultural regulations.
• Monitor water usage and system efficiency, implementing improvements to reduce waste and improve crop yields.
• Collaborate with farm managers and agronomists to align irrigation schedules with crop needs, weather conditions, and soil moisture levels.
• Maintain detailed records of irrigation system installations, repairs, maintenance, and water usage.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems and associated equipment to ensure they are functioning at full capacity.
• Manage irrigation system inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted system operation.
• Assist in developing and implementing new irrigation strategies to increase water efficiency and crop production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Pipe Fitting, Irrigation Systems, or Water Management.
• Familiarity with smart irrigation systems, automated controllers, or weather-based irrigation management systems.
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and water conservation methods.
• Previous experience working on an agricultural farm
