Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement policies for materials management and purchasing to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
•Build and maintain supplier relationships, evaluating performance and exploring new suppliers globally and locally.
•Oversee the entire procurement process, including contract negotiations, reviewing offers, and ensuring material delivery as scheduled.
•Plan and manage inventory levels, coordinating with departments to ensure materials are available as needed while balancing stock levels.
•Manage and negotiate procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with financial and legal procedures.
•Supervise logistics, including customs clearance, shipping, and export related documentation.
•Recruit, train, and manage the purchasing team, ensuring they are proficient in the latest procurement systems and tools.
•Handle supplier disputes, insurance claims, and coordinate legal matters with suppliers while ensuring smooth payment processes with the finance department.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
•Minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role.
•Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
•Proficient in planning, analysis, and decision making with solid supplier management skills.
•Excellent computer skills, including ERP systems.
•Fluency in both Arabic and English.
•Training in modern materials management (ERP) and warehouse/inventory management, along with knowledge of quality management systems.
