This person will be a member of a global 24/7/365 IT infrastructure operations team focused on enterprise Storage, backup and recovery who should possesses a strong understanding of IT fundamentals and has accumulated significant understanding and experience in Storage & Data Protection domain. Learns details of their technical area and analyzes variables to suggest modifications for improvement. Demonstrates technical skills required to complete complex tasks within area of responsibility and develops expertise outside of own area.
Accountabilities & Key Roles
- :Lead a team of Storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship
- .Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets the bigger team objectives
- .Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other global IT teams to complete project work
- .Engage with all levels of management and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage support and operational objectives
- .Identify and incorporate future service management needs into a well-considered multi-year roadmap across the support areas
- .Identify, construct , and implement plans to remove friction in the day-to-day operation
- .Lead the culture of continuous improvement by identifying projects, initiatives & getting the business or leadership engagement and deliver them
- .Contribute to Operation Reviews of IT services covering Customer Satisfaction, SLA performance, and Operational metrics
- .Produce regular and accurate service management reports and dashboards for the leadership team
- .Manage internal customer relationships with leaders across the technology organization

- .Broad knowledge and understanding of different IT applications and infrastructure
- .Strong analytical/problem solving skills, ability to provide alternatives, root cause analysis, testing skills and ability to make thoughtful proposals are also among the skills required
- .Strong understanding of ITIL or similar service management process standards
- .Storage platforms: SAN, NAS, Archiving Storage, MDS SAN Directors
- .Backup and Recovery platforms: NetBackup & VEEAM technologies
- .Tape libraries from vendors like IBM and others
- .Snapshot and Replication technologies: Snapshots and Drive Copy
- .Disaster Recovery technologies: (Including Storage, Data Base and Server based systems and Disaster Recovery of Backup catalogs)
- .Knowledge of storage and backup encryption technologies like SKLM/GKLM
- .Knowledge of Ransomware data recovery technologies like CRS and Physical/Logical Air Gapping & Immutability
- .Knowledge on OS (Linux and/or Solaris
