The accounting manager is responsible for overseeing and providing direction to AP & AR processes for the business unit, for AP/AR process improvements, for internal reporting and budgeting and for training, coaching and managing the accounting team.
Main Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Management
Review and control vendor invoices and expense vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Ensure all tasks are carried out correctly and on time including the processing of invoices and payment runs.
Ensure new supplier accounts are set up correctly ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Oversee reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable Management
Review and control customer invoices prepared by the staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Ensure collection of cash in a timely manner, management of aged debt, and limit the company’s exposure to bad debt.
Build customer relationships including site visits to customers where necessary.
Liaise with the credit insurance company and ensure all accounts operate within their prescribed credit limits.
Keep the Senior Finance Director up to date with team achievements, strengths, and issues.
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Manage AR and AP dashboard of KPIs as per requirement .
Oversee month-end closing and audit activities and reporting for AP.

- Budget Management
Prepare and present inputs related to AP and AR processes such as the overview of collection and payment trends to support budget decisions.
Forecast future expenses and allocate resources for the accounts payable and accounts receivable. departments based on historical data and projected business activity.
Identify and address any variances between actual and budgeted amounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
8 to 10 years of functional experience out of which 2-3 years should be in an equivalent middle management role.
Mastery of Accounting Practices
Good knowledge of Banking Practices
Analitycal skills and accuracy
Very good English communication
