Position : MEP Draftsman

Experience Required : 5 to 10 years in the UAE

Salary Range : 7,000 AED - 10,000 AED

Are you an experienced MEP Draftsman looking for an exciting opportunity in Abu Dhabi? Western Beach General Contracting is seeking a skilled professional with extensive knowledge in the drafting of full MEP services.

Qualifications:

- 5 to 10 years of MEP drafting experience in the UAE.

- Knowledge of UAE authority regulations and compliance requirements.

(Mechanical Services)

- Prepare detailed HVAC drawings and layouts using CAD software, Duct Sizer & HAP.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet project specifications.

- Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans.

- Make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.

- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.

(Fire Fighting Services)

- Familiarity with fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants.

- Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards.

(Electrical Services)

- Skilled in drafting electrical layouts including power, lighting, and low current systems.

- Knowledge of electrical load calculations and distribution systems.

- Experience with emergency power systems, including UPS and generators.

(Plumbing Services)

- Proficient in drafting plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.

- Knowledge of water heating systems and associated piping.

- Experience with storm water drainage systems.

- Strong understanding of MEP systems and standards.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other drafting tools.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

Responsibilities:

- Drafting and preparing comprehensive MEP drawings.

- Coordinating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements.

- Ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

- Assisting in the review and modification of designs as needed.

- Preparing detailed and accurate bill of quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems.

- Participating in project meetings to discuss and resolve design issues.

- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure integrated and cohesive designs.

- Providing technical support and expertise during the construction phase.

- Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of shop drawings submitted by contractors.
