Buckswood School Riyadh is opening this Autumn to students in KG1 - KG3 and Grades 1 to 3. Conveniently located in Al Izdiyah, close to transport networks our new school seeks a motivated and passionate Deputy Principal to work closely with our founding Principal to deliver a premium educational experience to our students and their families. We are looking for the Deputy Principal to join us on a full time basis starting in Early August.
Buckswood School Riyadh, the latest member of the Buckswood Global Education group opening in autumn 2024, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Principal/Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our team. We are committed to providing a high-quality, holistic education through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our mission is to develop global citizens ready to face the challenges of the 21st century. Eventually, the school will be an all-through school from KG1 to Grade 12.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Principal in the overall management and leadership of the school.
- Oversee the implementation of the IB PYP curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Lead on student discipline, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
- Manage and mentor teaching staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
- Foster a positive school culture that reflects Buckswood s values and ethos.
- Engage with parents, students, and the wider community to build strong relationships and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Education or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in an international school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the IB curriculum and experience in school administration.
- Proven track record in improving educational outcomes and staff performance.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and sensitivity to diverse cultural needs.
