Warehouse Manager

The role of the Warehouse Manager is to manage the entire process from reception of goods from suppliers to storage/ warehousing. His role on a strategic level includes helping the General Manager in transforming the Logistics’ department to a World Class logistic operation by identifying inefficiencies and subsequently propose remedial cost efficient measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and direct the day-to-day warehousing operation of ServiKa.
• Supervise the receiving, put away and order preparation adhering by the processes and standards adopted by the company.
• Optimize the storage of products in the warehouse taking into account product movement, volumes and physical characteristics.
• Ensure proper use of Assets and equipment.
• Follow-up with the employees to ensure that proper housekeeping practices are followed, including tracking equipment and facilities preventive maintenance, cleaning and proper upkeep.
• Ensure full alignment with Employees Health and Safety procedures, and oversee all security functions and operations including surveillance, equipment, security guards, firefighting systems etc. in order to minimize accidents.
• Supervise and follow-up on the “On Pack” activities.
• Ensure the implementation of the standards as per the Quality Assurance program and procedures.
• Assist, coordinate and follow-up with inventory teams during stock counts and inventories.
• Manage (and if possible give recommendation to prevent) expired and damaged stock along with the concerned teams.
• Manage transfers from a warehouse to another.
• Manage and ensure the effective achievement of the departmental and individual objectives of the warehousing department, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback, and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
• Manage and follow-up on all Admin/HR policies & procedures that concern all employees (Annual Leaves, Sick Leaves, Recuperations, Attendance, End of year performance review, KPIs, Uniform, Appearance & Hygiene, etc.).
• Any other task as per management requirement.


Job Specifications & Competencies
• Bachelor in Business Administration, Supply Chain or any other related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a warehousing/logistics role, in a reputable company.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Excellent computer literacy & good knowledge of warehouse related software
