Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, media-savvy, and creative Public Relations (PR) Specialist to join our dynamic marketing agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing public perception, building brand credibility, and securing strong media coverage for both the agency and its clients.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to create and execute PR campaigns, media strategies, press releases, and influencer collaborations that enhance brand visibility and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets.
- Proactively pitch stories, press releases, and feature articles to secure media coverage.
- Monitor and respond to media inquiries, interview requests, and press opportunities.
Client Campaign Support
- Collaborate with account managers and marketing strategists to develop integrated PR plans for clients.
- Write and edit press releases, media kits, speeches, bios, and other PR materials.
- Coordinate media events, brand launches, and press conferences.
Brand Reputation Management
- Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and online mentions of clients and agency brands.
- Manage crisis communication efforts in collaboration with senior management.
- Develop reputation-building initiatives that align with client brand values.
Strategy & Storytelling
- Identify newsworthy angles and develop compelling narratives that connect brand messaging with current trends.
- Create strategic communication plans aligned with marketing goals.
- Support brand awareness campaigns through strategic partnerships and PR placements.
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.3-5 years of proven experience in PR, media relations, or strategic communications—preferably within an agency setting.Strong network of media contacts across print, digital, and broadcast channels (local and/or regional is a plus).Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills (press releases, pitches, speeches, etc.).Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Deep understanding of media landscapes, PR trends, and influencer marketing.Ability to craft compelling narratives aligned with brand and business goals.Experience managing PR crises and reputation challenges is a plus.Proficiency in media monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Google Alerts) and PR performance analytics.Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
