- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable foreign suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with international suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and address any issues related to quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Searches the local market for alternative reliable suppliers, evaluating their offers and participates in the negotiation activities of all relevant agreements, focusing on minimizing cost and maintaining the company’s quality standards
- Manages the negotiations of stevedore and transportation services of the necessary materials according to the plants' needs.
- Follow the foreign shipments' end-to-end process and follow up the customs clearance activity in order to ensure zero demurrage.
- Review purchase requisitions, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain an updated database of purchase orders, shipments, and suppliers’ information.
- Analyze and manage procurement costs, including transportation, taxes, duties, and import tariffs.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and negotiate favorable payment terms to optimize the procurement budget.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Maintenance Engineering or a related engineering field3-6 years of experience in foreign purchasing & its related activities.Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and import procedures.Excellent negotiation skills, communications, and interpersonal skills.Exposure in contract formulation and knowledge of legal termsGood knowledge of imported bulk materials process and its related activities (stevedore, transportation, clearance, laytime calculation)Proficiency in using SAP.Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.Fluency in English
