Cloud Server & Infrastructure Management (Contabo, AWS EC2, Dedicated Servers)
- Deploy, configure, and manage virtual and dedicated servers with complete initial setup.
- Perform biweekly system snapshots and backups to ensure business continuity.
- Handle technical service requests via Contabo’s support (email & phone) and AWS support as needed.
TSplus License Management
- Add and activate licenses for new server deployments.
- Transfer licenses between servers as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve server-side issues affecting TSplus remote desktop access.
DNS Configuration & Routing (DynDNS)
- Manage Dynamic DNS (DynDNS) settings to ensure reliable remote access to client servers.
- Collaborate with client IT teams to configure routers and open ports required for TSplus connectivity.
SQL Server Administration
- Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor database performance, manage backups, and troubleshoot SQL-related issues.
Client & Internal IT Support
- Coordinate with technical support and client IT departments to resolve system-level issues affecting Tab’s infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve server disruptions efficiently to minimize downtime.
Local Hardware, Procurement & Network Support
- Visit the head office as needed to troubleshoot hardware/software issues on employee devices.
- Set up and maintain the local network (routers, switches, cabling).
- Procure, configure, and deploy laptops for new hires, ensuring proper system readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring).
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role.Experience with remote server providers such as Contabo or AWS EC2.Proficiency in managing VPS environments and cloud instances (setup, configuration, snapshot management).Hands-on experience with TSplus, cPanel, Dynamic DNS (DynDNS), and basic networking concepts (NAT, port forwarding).Good knowledge of email setup, troubleshooting (IMAP/SMTP), and storage limits in cPanel environments.Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows-based laptops.Familiarity with router configurations and VPNs is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
