Landscape Maintenance Manager

*Under the guidance of the Head of Landscape, he oversees all day-to-day operational aspects of a start-up landscape maintenance business. Due to already established affiliations and partnerships, the business is poised to grow very quickly due to vast company-owned property holdings.
*To oversee all customer interface and labor relations aspects of the landscape business; -- including sales, customer contract management, labor logistics, labor training, and equipment/vehicles/fleet management.
*To ensure that overall operational performance targets are achieved in relation to service quality, contract (project) costs, and customer expectations.
*To ensure that profitability goals are designed into new customer contracts, while also ensuring that profit margins are maintained with our existing customer accounts/contracts.
*The ideal candidate has a history as being Customer Service-oriented with ability to leverage company resources to maximize customer satisfaction.
*To bring knowledge and abilities in creating accurate cost estimates, creating and evaluating cost control, productivity and a focus on quality service.
*Having strong leadership abilities and personality; he should be able to oversee multiple customer accounts that involve hiring, training, and implementation of site maintenance teams for a many business customers across numerous industries.
*Having scheduling and planning skills is a valuable asset.
*Having detail orientation, positive employee relation skills, training abilities, problem-solving and employee conflict solution.
Experience:
10+ years in landscape maintenance company (at least 5 years in the operational leadership roles within those companies.)
Educational Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, or some related Engineering field. Candidates with advanced business or economics degrees will be considered if they possess the requisite landscape business experience.


*Be responsible for the cost effective rostering of site supervisors and the direct labor reporting to the site supervisors.*Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff.*Review of all sales proposals before they leave the office to ensure: format correctness, cost accuracy, profitability requirements, and overall completeness and accuracy.*Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate services are rendered to all areas.*Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of equipment's and facilities; recommend repairs, additions and disposals... etc.*Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve service quality and safety standards.*Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate operational activities.*Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform said tasks.*Maintain and support Operational goals and objectives.Knowledge Base:Demonstrated knowledge of all aspect of operating the day-to-day operation of a large landscape maintenance company. Working knowledge of trees, shrubs, annual plantings, plus a vast knowledge of installing and repairing automatic irrigation systems.Known LanguagesVery Good English (spoken and written)Personal Skills:Leadership skills, Problem-solving skills, Technical Skills .. etc.Computer Skills:Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office packages; i.e. – Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project as strong plus. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of constructing business operating statements using Excel.
