This role requires appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities in the specification and oversight of painting operations that meet requirements of applicable standards, analyzes weak points and coating defects, prepares expert reports & technology assessments, and develops optimization concepts tailored to manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a painting facility.
- knowledge of coatings formulations, including binders, pigments, and additives.
- Hands-on experience with viscosity testing, and dispersion stability testing.
- Familiarity with coating application methods (spray, roller, dip-coating) and film performance evaluation (adhesion, opacity, gloss, etc.).
- Understanding surface chemistry and how minerals interact with binders and dispersants in coatings.
- Analyzes labor, material, and fixed costs to develop and update product costing models
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills to interact with R&D, production teams, and customers.Perform other duties as assigned.Bachelor’s Mechanical/Chemical degree. Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience in Vehicle Manufacturing industry (Bus / Automotive)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and Production control.Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to the welding industry.Create, Update standard operating procedures (SOPs)Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and attention to detail.Fluent in EnglishRailway Experience is plus
