More than 30,000 girls to be vaccinated against HPV, 10,000 women will be screened for cervical cancer in greater Cairo

 

 

With the expertise and knowledge of key program partners, Rotary aims to vaccinate more than 30,000 girls ages 9-15 and provide screenings for 10,000 women in greater Cairo and launch a public awareness campaign to reach 4 million people. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Project Manager is responsible for

all the projects’ activities – including weekly/daily planning of activities defined according to the program objectives and priorities.

  • Prepare quarterly results-based work plans and budgets, risks and management response and logical frame works as endorsed by the implementing partner and management committee. Regularly informing activity plans to the respective partners and providing reports to each of them
  • Establish a close collaboration with the technical officers to follow-up the activities implemented during the program.
  • Gather and centralize information on program activities & assists in the creation of the monitoring-evaluation tools of the programme
  • Prepare narrative progress and final reports in line with the format and time schedule indicated by the TRF
  • Ensure that records are kept in accordance with the established procedures
  • Participate in staff recruitment, in coordination with team, according to the HR procedures and prepare induction process for new staff and ensure appropriate training/support is provided
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to create the content for the national communication campaign. 
  • Highlighting any issues that may delay or have adverse financial impact on the project
  • Ensuring that the work plans and key activities of the project are aligned to the project outcomes and outputs as stated in the project document
  • Submitting relevant approval documentation in gaining any approvals 
  • Attend meetings with key stakeholders as required 
  • Manage the drafting and submission of periodic reports to the project stakeholders as required in the project reporting guidelines 
  • The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the project
  • Assume primary responsibility for the daily project coordination- both organizational and substantive matters, budgeting, planning, controlling the project expenditures and general monitoring of the project.
  • Prepare work plans, including financial plans, in consultation with technical specialists and Program director 
  • Ensure that project activities are implemented in accordance with the approved work plans, budget table and timely implementation. 
  • Assume overall responsibility for the proper handling of logistics related to project workshops and events.
  • Assume overall responsibility for recruitment of consultants within the project, along with procurement of services performed by the project in accordance with approved work plans
  • Follow the monitoring and evaluation of the program
  • Ensure adequate management of the project resources in accordance with the project budget, agreed work plans and the Project Document. Ensures related record keeping.
  • Assume overall responsibility for timely reporting on project in accordance with the respective workplan
  • Prepare and timely submit project narrative annual and monthly progress reports
  • Monitor the expenditures, commitments and balance of funds under the project budget lines. Ensure that financial delivery targets set out in the agreed  work plans are met.
  • Liaise with relevant ministries, other national institutions in order to involve them in project activities as necessary and gather and disseminate information relevant to the project.

Required qualificationsUniversity degree in pharmacy, science, medicine, public health, public health management,  management or related field. Master or higher degree in project management is preferable. Higher degree in the field is an asset. Professional experienceAt least seven years of progressive working experience in the relevant area. Preferably in national or international organizations.Conceptual knowledge of statistics, human development, sexual and reproductive health including maternal healthcare, health systemsKnowledge of concepts of data collection, analysis, and processing.Experience of at least five years in project or programme management, including program design, personnel management, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, budgetary and financial management.Experience in coordinating and liaising with government agencies, CSOs and/or donors is an asset.Proficient in EnglishProficient in MS office (word, excel, ppt, MS sheets and …etc), email and internetBasic social media background
