Head of Learning & Development

Key Responsibilities:

Learning & Development Strategy:

Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the hotel's luxury brand standards.

Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.

Establish leadership development programs for current and future leaders.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and service excellence across all departments.

Training Programs & Delivery:

Design and deliver guest service training, leadership workshops, and technical skill programs.

Develop onboarding programs to ensure new hires align with brand values and expectations.

Create e-learning modules and blended learning solutions to enhance accessibility.

Partner with operational leaders to implement department-specific training programs.

Leadership & Development:

Monitor the effectiveness of training through KPIs, guest feedback, and employee performance.

Coach department heads and managers on employee development and engagement.

Ensure compliance with luxury service standards, brand training, and regulatory requirements.

Talent Development & Succession Planning:

Identify high-potential employees and create career progression plans.

Support the implementation of mentorship programs and cross-training initiatives.

Collaborate with HR to align training programs with talent retention strategies.

Communcations &Collaboration:

Work closely with the executive team, department heads, and brand representatives to align learning strategies.

Act as a learning ambassador, inspiring employees to embrace personal and professional growth.

Review the training budget in collaboration with the Director of HR, managing resources and external learning partnerships.


Qualifications & Skills:Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or Organizational Development.Experience: Minimum 7-12 years in learning & development, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.Technical Skills: Expertise in instructional design, LMS platforms, and e-learning tools.Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.Certifications (Preferred): CIPD, ATD, or any recognized training & development certification.
